Il Luogo
Founded in the eighth century, the Abbazia di San Pietro in Valle sits on the wooded slopes of the Valnerina, the green valley of the river Nera in southern Umbria.
Its Romanesque bell tower, quiet cloisters and frescoed nave have watched over the valley for more than a thousand years. For one weekend, it's ours to share with you.
Il Viaggio
We'll be at the Abbey ahead of everyone to welcome you. Here's how the journey will work.
We'll share our recommended Friday flights here once they've been released.
Transport from the airport will be arranged for anyone on the recommended flight, and anyone else who'd like to be at the airport in time to join.
After breakfast, transport back to the airport will be arranged for all guests travelling home on Sunday.
Making your own way
If you're travelling independently, we recommend flying into Rome or Perugia. Pick a route to see it on the map. Travel times are approximate.
If you'd rather not use the transport we're arranging, we recommend hiring a car. It's the easiest way to reach the Abbey and explore the valley.
We'd love everyone to stay with us at the Abbey for the whole weekend. To help us confirm numbers with the venue, we're kindly asking for a contribution of £75 per person towards your stay. If you'd prefer to stay elsewhere, just let us know and you'll be welcome to arrange your own accommodation.

Domande
We'd love you to simply relax and enjoy the weekend with us, so we've taken care of as much as we can. We'll only ask you to cover your travel to Italy and a contribution towards your stay.
When you RSVP, we'll ask you to confirm:
For the wedding on Saturday we're asking everyone to dress formally. Think smart and elegant, one step down from black tie.
Suits: a tailored suit in a dark or neutral shade, with a shirt and tie. A tuxedo is welcome but not expected.
Dresses: a midi or floor-length dress, an elegant jumpsuit, or smart separates.
Good to know: April evenings in the valley can be cool, so bring a jacket or wrap. The grounds are gravel and stone, so block heels or flats are kinder than stilettos.
Friday's welcome evening is casual, and Sunday morning is relaxed, so wear whatever you're comfortable in.
Si Prega di Rispondere
We would be honoured by your presence.
